On June 15th, The Llama was a part of a very special DMB celebration - Kyle’s 35th birthday bash! The day was filled with family, friends, nieces and nephews <3 It was flag fay themed with red, white and blue - all poolside and backyard llama-style. Complete with Oberon and margaritas on tap. YES, on tap my friends - and you can do this too with your event! ;-) Along with wine, spirit free drinks including Coca-Cola, assorted Faygo, water, sparkling lemonade and juices! All kept ice cold throughout the day thanks to The Llama’s handy dandy kegerator.

Everyone partied into the evening and jammed to music coming right out of The Llama! The kiddos had so much fun not only swimming in the pool, but the jacuzzi too AND inside The Llama. What can we say? DMB is an interactive and memorable addition for party goers of all ages!! Gwen's 2nd Birthday Bash

Hi Friends! Today we are talking about a very special birthday party for a VERY special little lady, Gwen! The Llama was a part of her birthday bash that took place over Memorial Day weekend on May 25th. It was the most beautiful sunshine filled day spent with family, friends and lots of llama themed decor ;-) A huge shoutout to Target for the Lla-mazing Birthday Party Collection by Spritz. What do you guys think?!

Gwen’s party was a pool-side celebration, complete with Dos Equis and margaritas on tap!

“Did we hear you say margaritas on tap?!” Yes my friends, you did =) The Llama can serve your drink of choice right out of a cocktail keg! Also served was wine, spirit free drinks including Coca-Cola, water, and juices - all kept ice cold throughout the day thanks to The Llama’s handy dandy kegerator.

One thing we often get asked is, what is your favorite feature on The Llama? This is often a hard one to answer (because there are so many!) but we have to say, the lighting has to be one of our favs. Watching a child’s smile and happiness from seeing the multi-colored LED lighting inside is indescribable. It brings us all the JOY in the world. Check out Ron and Gwen below observing the lighting. Isn’t it so sweet? And yes, adults react the same way too when they see it ;-)

Femology's 50 Female Founders Event!

On May 18th, Detroit Mobile Bar was honored to be a part of Femology’s 50 Female Founders event at Tribe Detroit in Warren, MI. We are so excited to share this empowering, inspiring and amazing day with you all!

Femology is a socially innovative community, workspace and even hosts special events for female founders. Check them out here! Recently, they ran an epic campaign for the top 50 female entrepreneurs in Metro Detroit and each was nominated by the Detroit community. There were HUNDREDS of women nominated - and this event was a kick-off celebration for each 50 Female Founder chosen!!

Kim and Lauryn of DMB met and served each amazing woman fun Bellini’s (peach, grapefruit and strawberry) and sparkling French berry lemonades! Perfect choices for the perfect afternoon.

Wondering about The Llama? Don’t fret my friends =) The Llama was outside the venue greeting guests and serving mocktails upon arrival! How fun, right? For this event, she was dressed up with eucalyptus - what can we say, we love greenery! Anyone else?

During the event, there were so many yummy treats to indulge in as well as a swing and fun ballon photo op! Kim and Lauryn even snuck in some time to get snap a few photos ;-) Each woman also shared their story and as a new business, it was SO incredibly inspiring. We can’t thank Femology Detroit enough for having Detroit Mobile Bar at Tribe Detroit. If you haven’t already - you MUST check them out!

Women’s Empowerment LIVE Event: Fearlessly You Experience

May 11th was a double header! You’ve seen our post from Georgiana’s First Birthday Bash, but what we didn’t share was that Detroit Mobile Bar was also a part of the Fearlessly You Experience that same morning. This event took place at the K.OSS Contemporary Art gallery in downtown Detroit and was hosted by DMB’s very own, Lauryn Laszczak. It was a full day LIVE event filled with empowerment, speakers, meditation and visualizations, lunch, henna, dancing, the works! The Llama was a registration station for attendees to check in and get their swag bags! How fun, right? See she can be whatever you would like, friends!

For this event we had some help from our friends, Alyssa and Jessi, to greet and register guests. It was a beautiful morning and the sun was shining. Here’s to an amazing day! Charity Golf Outing: Detroit Children's Fund

This event is extra special to share not only because it was our FIRST charity event, but also our FIRST venue only rental! What’s a venue only rental? This means we simply drop off The Llama and your team handles it from there. How cool is that, right? This is a PERFECT option if you already have a caterer or are booking a venue that requires you to use their staff to serve!

On May 13th Detroit Mobile Bar was a part of the Detroit Children’s Fund Charity Golf Outing “The Graduate Cup” at Bloomfield Hills Country Club. We were placed at hole 8 and it was a llama-rific day to say the least. Isn’t this map with us on the course THE cutest?!

This was the 3rd Charity Golf Outing for Detroit Children’s Fund and Alex and Jimmy from the Bloomfield Hills Country Club served guests out of The Llama. Even though she wasn’t serving, Kim was there to greet guests and make sure everything was running smoothly for this event.

It was a chillier spring day, so The Llama was stocked up with coffee and hot cocoa as well as beer, wine, water and other spirits. As always, the weather did not stop the golfers OR The Llama! ;-)

Georgiana's "Georgia Peach" First Birthday Bash!

Georgiana’s (nicknamed Georgie) first birthday was DMB’s FIRST official birthday event and took place on May 11th! We are SO excited to share this llama-rific “Georgia Peach” celebration with you all.

Sheri and Steve, Georgie’s parents put together an AWESOME party right at their house where The Llama rolled right into their backyard and Kyle and Kim handled the rest. It was a Michigan spring day and the sun came out right as the party was starting… it was absolutely perfect!!

This backyard bash was complete with speciality cocktails for the occasion named G’s Tea and Little Lady Lemonade (any other Tito’s lovers out there!?), along with bubbly, lemonade or watermelon mimosas, sodas and Oberon on draft. The Llama was perfectly decorated with some big beautiful first birthday balloons, garland and a stunning “1” photo representing Georgie’s celebration, along with pink lighting inside thanks to The Llama’s LED colored lighting system. It was SO much fun serving, sharing and chatting with Sheri and Steve’s family and friends. Sheri and Georgie even snuck in some time to get a photo together with The Llama! Aren’t they the cutest?

Better On Draft Podcast

If you have been wanting to learn more about us and The Llama story, this post is for YOU my friend! Right as The Llama was getting close to completion, we were SO honored to be invited on the Better On Draft podcast episode 169 which took place on March 15th, 2019. These guys know everything, literally everything, about the beer world and get together most Fridays at 7PM to chat about all things beer and the industry. Their studio is located at Podcast Detroit in Royal Oak, MI and you can even watch all the episodes LIVE on their Facebook page.

Ken, Nick, Rob and Matt are the guys behind the mic and the moment we met them we KNEW this was going to be a lla-mazing night. It’s a podcast about beer, so naturally, there was going to be some beer tasting involved ;-) If you don’t know already - the four of us are HUGE craft beer fans and it’s why we put a kegerator inside The Llama (listen to the episode to learn more!).

What would YOU order for your first drink from The Llama? We answered this among many other questions including how and why WE redid The Llama ourselves (what were we thinking!?) and even created our very own llama cocktail called “Tommy Ba-llama”… all thanks to Matt. During the podcast we laughed, even cried from laughing so hard and drank our favorite beers while getting to the nitty gritty about us and the DMB story. We take our shenanigans everywhere and Kim even thought she was a co-host by the end!
